That's more like it!

Went back to Vain today for my free follow-up trim. It was actually more of a whole new cut -- he took out three cocker spaniels' worth of hair, which is pretty amazing when you think about the fact that I just had it cut a mere few weeks ago. It just kept coming out and coming out, and at the end he took the thinning scissors to it and still more came out, so it's very texturized now and piecier. The angle of the back is sharper and much shorter, and the sides are more angled, too. I love how thin it feels now. It's almost like having normal hair!

It's really hard to show it -- I can't get the camera right and it's also pretty dirty. And the color needs refreshing. But anyways. It's still not what I ideally had in mind, but it's a lot closer. He even said that he left me too momish looking. I actually gave him a hug afterward because I was so much happier this time. But I feel kind of bad in that he did a lot of cutting and it was like a whole new cut, basically for free.

Thank you! I'm really enjoying it -- so little to take care of!

I like your hair — and your face. You look very trendy London to me.

Vain! I love them. And it occurred to me just now that I let my free trim sail right on past me for the current hair, whoops.

One of these days we should make an appt. together. When we both have money. Ha ha. I'm really pleased for the most part with them, and that free trim really has a lot to do with that. I mean, it was an entirely new cut in a lot of ways, for free!

Thanks! I wish sometimes I had had this done back before the 104 degree day. That would have helped a LOT.

Mos def -- and it's really fun to play around with because it's doing stuff. I can make it stick out or fluff up or smooth down. I'm happy!

Thank you! I told him I'm just really not ready for a cut that's more my age, I need to be younger than that. ;-)

Oh, very nice! He took the original up to a much more sophisticated level. :D

Yeah, it was so much better this time. And I'm really having fun making it do all kinds of things like stuck out and stuff. I'm so not ready to act my age when it comes to my hair.

Niiiiiice! It's amazing how much bulk the right stylist can take out. Before I found the salon I go to now, my hair had never, ever looked wispy. And I discovered I love point cutting, too, something no other stylists had ever done on me, which makes all the difference.

It really does -- I think that even if my hair had stayed long, if I'd know that this kind of texturing is what I needed, I would have kept it long for a while yet. But I'm honestly kind of glad to have it gone, anyway. Last night it air dried in an hour, as opposed to six.

I like it! I'm going for a cut this morning, and I'm also hoping to get it thinned, because it just goes splooey right now. So I hope the good haircut luck is catching!

How did it go? I finally learned what I didn't know before hand when I tried to explain what I wanted -- texturizing. Where they do a lot of razor cutting and bul removal and point cutting. I loved watching him this time with the thinning scissors -- he would just put them in the middle of a section and pull. It's given me so much lightness and smoothness.
